Traveling Water Screens:

GMW PVT.LTD. Travelling Water Screens are used extensively in  water supply systems to effectively screen debris from raw  water intakes, protecting pumps, condensers and other expensive equipments.

GMW PVT.LTD.  Traveling Water Screens have automatic cleaning / washing arrangements. No shut down of the plant is required for cleaning the screens. The cleaning process takes place automatically while the screens are in service.

 

GMW PVT.LTD. "through flow" Traveling Water Screens are available in both two-post and four-post design and can be manufactured in width, depths and materials selected to suit specific site requirements.

 

GMW PVT.LTD. "Dual Flow" Travelling Water Screens are available in both type of design, i.e. divergent type and convergent type dual flow. This design offers increased screening area per unit.

    

One of the largest Travelling Water Screens, having capacity 65000 Cum/hr have been successfully installed & commissioned by us at Vijayawada Thermal Power Project in Southern India.

Trash Racks:

GMW PVT.LTD. Trash Rack is a Mechanical screening system designed to stop heavy / big debris from entering through the intake channel. The Trash Rack often precedes finer screening equipments such as TWS in intake channels. The Trash Racks can be supplied with Mechanical Cleaning Devices. This ensures cleaning of trash racks while in use, thus avoiding costly shutdown time and risky manual cleaning.

Gates:

These Gates are used in different types of power plants, irrigation projects, etc. The function of these gates is to stop or regulate flow of water precisely and efficiently as and when required during maintenance of downstream equipment or Hydraulic controls. In closed position the stop log gate unit will be completely water tight.

All components are designed to bear stresses due to dynamic loads during closing and opening operation and static loads in closed position. GMW PVT.LTD. Lifting Beam is made from rolled structural steel with automatic engaging and disengaging type hooks. It is used to facilitate lifting and lowering of Gate / Trash Racks from submerged positions.

Screw Hoist

1. Rope Drum Hoist :

In this hoist, the prime mover (electrical motor) conveys power through  a set of gear trains and shaft at desired speed to a rope drum.

 

One end of rope is fixed on drum and another end is fixed with gate. Therefore rotation of drum provides vertical movement to gate.


2. Screw Hoist :

The prime mover provides vertical motion to screwed shaft through gears and fixed nut. One end of shaft

is connected to the gate. Thus, gate gets a vertical movement.

 

   

3. Hydraulic Hoist :

In this hoist, prime mover develops pressure in the oil with the help of pumps, which is used for actuating the piston of hydraulic cylinder. This piston is connected to the gate through a stem thereby providing it with necessary movement.

 

In addition to above we supply electric wire rope hoist, EOT, HOT and manual chain pulley blocks with monorails for operating these hydro gates and trash racks.
