General Mechanical Works Pvt.Ltd. (GMW PVT.LTD.) was established in the year 1978 at Baroda, Gujarat State (located at 450 KM north of Mumbai in western part of India). We have been involved in the execution of various contracts for mechanical packages to meet the growing needs of the power sector as well as other industries. Initially, GMW PVT.LTD. had started with Structural Engineering as a main activity. Afterwards, we diversified into Piping, Storage Tanks, Screens & Gates and Fire Protection Systems. We are a  leading turn-key contractor in these areas for Water Treatment Plants, Irrigation Projects, Oil Refineries,  Hydro & other Power Projects, Fertilizers, Electrical and Chemical industries. Till date, we have executed 40 Power Plants contracts, coal and gas based, comprising more than 80 units, ranging from 1 MW to 500 MW.

GMW PVT.LTD. has also  undertaken and successfully completed piping work aggregating more than 200 kms ranging from 15 NB to 2000 NB pipe sizes consisting of water, air, gas, oil and steam pipelines, etc.

 

We have executed more than 1,30,000 MT of structural steel Fabrication & Erection work during the last 19 years.

 

Since 1983, we have installed Screens & Gates for variety of applications including Thermal Power Plants, Hydro Electric projects, Water Treatment plants and Irrigation projects.


Ours is an ISO-9001 : 2000 company with a scope of Design, Development, Manufacturing, Installation, Servicing of Water Intake Equipment systems & Fire Detection/Protection System for Power Plants, Refineries and other Industries. This prestigious certification has obtained from American Quality Assessors (AQA), U.S.A. and established a quality management system that is in compliance with the International Quality System Standard ISO 9001 and Q 9001 - 2000.

 

 

 

GMW PVT.LTD. is backed by Modern Engineering Section and CAD. We have 15000 sq.mtr. area plots at two different location with covered shed, machine shop, fabrication/assembly shop, Gantry Crane and all necessary plant and machinery installed for manufacturing of equipment and its spares.

 

Our manufacturing facilities are upgraded from time to time in order to keep pace with changing technology. We are also associated with a number of ancillaries which gives a boost to our Productivity. GMW PVT.LTD. site offices are spread throughout India where execution of several contracts is going on. We have Branch Offices at Delhi (North India), Chennai, Mumbai and Bangalore (South India).

We have developed and established Quality Assurance System and Procedure for supplying reliable products to the entire satisfaction of our customers. A large number of products have been supplied under stringent third party inspections by reputed Inspection Agencies  such as Lloyds Registrar of Shipping (LRS), LONDON, Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd. (NPCIL) MUMBAI, National Thermal Power Corporation of India (NTPC), NOIDA (DELHI), etc.
